My family knows that I am guilty of constantly sneaking vegetables into anything I make. My go-to’s have always been an extra large handful of spinach or half of a cucumber blended into my usual smoothie; however, I recently read a recipe that amped up this veggie-smoothie fiesta even more! What was the secret ingredient you ask? Drum roll… it rhymes with -aliflower… that’s right cauliflower.

It’s the white frozen veggie that until this moment has always been highly under rated in my vegetable stash. But, when I realized you can sub the ice in your smoothie for a handful of frozen cauliflower this all changed. One cup of cauliflower contains until 25 calories, 3 grams fiber, and 75% of your daily Vitamin C! Plus it makes a great way to thicken a smoothie without contributing the flavor.

Below is the basic recipe I often use but I highly encourage you to play around with your favorite way to incorporate this anti-infammitory ingredient.
