Recent studies have been showing that we’re in a increase in the number of sleepless nights people are getting. Good quality sleep is not only important to your mental health but also your physical health! I don’t know about you, but I know come 8-9pm my sleepy time hunger cues are usually starting to kick in, so I wanted to share a simple and tasty recipe made with ingredients that will help you sleep better each night!
Ingredients:
3/4 cup rolled oats
2 chamomile tea bags
1/2 cup almond butter
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional: 1/4th cup of dried cherries or diced walnuts and almond milk if needed.
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Pulse the rolled oats into a flour-like texture using a blender or nutrabullet then mix in the contents of the chamomile tea bags with the ground oat powder.
Pour the flour mixture into a bowl then mix together almond butter, honey, and vanilla. The mixture could be sticky so add 1-4 tbsp of almond milk if needed. Lastly, add in the dried cherries and diced nuts.
Using a cookies scoop drop tablespoon size mounds onto a baking sheet & pat down into a cookie shape. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until bottoms are golden. Let cool. Top with additional almond butter if desired.
